What band do you want to see live?

I go to a lot of shows and I have seen almost all of my favorite bands. I’m fortunate because there are many people who just can’t get to shows or their area doesn’t have a venue, etc.

The question is:

What band do you want to see in concert?

I just saw Queen but I missed out on them with Freddie Mercury.

Tops on my list are:
Night Ranger
Van Halen w/Diamond Dave
Lacuna Coil

  1. Yeah, Van Halen ONLY with Dave would be one I’d sell my soul for.

And since you mentioned Mercury, I’d sell all my possessions on top of my soul to get to see Thin Lizzy again. For years, I saw them on every tour they did, sometimes several times each, and they were the most down-to-earth act around in those days. Just a cool band. Pity with the drug thing, though.

Today, I would go see Priest again (which I did, soon after they reformed) and to see & hear RIOT live in their “Fire Down Under” formation would be a blast.

Once dead and gone, I’ll check out The Police (who are going to get there before me, I think), Hendrix, Queen (I saw them 5 or 6 times way back when), Miles Davis doing his “Birth of the Cool” stuff, Basie, Goodman, Ellington, Teddy Wilson and a trillion other jazz artists.

In a few weeks (May 10th), I’m going to see the Tord Gustavsen Trio … my fave at the moment.

  2. Iron Maiden-I have never seen them. I had tickets in 88, but they rescheduled the date and I had to sell my ticket because I had just started a new job.

Overkill-I was going to see them in 92 and they cancelled the date a few weeks before.

Armored Saint-They are playing a few west coast and European dates this summer. Maybe soon they will do another album and tour the east coast.

Helloween-I actually saw them open for Anthrax in 89. Still I would like to se them as a headliner and with Andi Deris.

Electric Wizard-I just got into them recently and would love to see them.

  3. DLR with Van Halen is definately up there. I’ve seen Van Hagar, but it wasn’t the same. I’d love to see Led Zeppelin with Jason Bonham on drums. I saw Plant open for The Who just after Entwistle died and they both were good. The Police is also up there for me.
