    • Great site – seen it advertised in record collector. I have been collecting since 1981 – now 37 – go to plenty of gigs and look forward to sharing memories and talk of metal

  2. Hi Dale,

Great blog mate and like you I share the addiction for good hard rock music! Unlike you however its gotta be vinyl for me! I’ve really enjoyed reading the stuff here and have even ordered a copy of the Predator album… we appear to have a very similar taste in music so I look forward to hearing it!!!!

    regards from the UK

    Bill

  3. Love thr website, metal rules, been a fan since the age of 13, now 32, it’s a state of mind!

Check out my page dedicated to crossover San Francisco act MORDRED, who were years ahead of their time in the early ’90s.

  4. Hello!

I was browing through your site and I had a good time reading some stuff that you wrote.
I am also a collector from Brazil and it all began with Kiss in 1983, when they first played here.
I wonder if you can indicate me some webshops and places that I can shop through the web after rock and roll and heavy stuff.
Right now I am trying to finish my Hammerfall collection on cassetes tapes.
    Thanks a lot!
    Marcelo

  5. Hey, nice Web site!!

I just started a blog called Metal Man Speaks. I’m totally new to the game, so it’s pretty bare bones. I decided to send you a link because it looks like you know what you’re doing.

There is some political stuff on the blog, but it wont be full of ideological screeds, etc. I just think that metal heads can and should be informed about political and cultural issues.

A significant part of the blog will also be devoted to tattooing and other stuff. I’d really appreciate it if you paid a visit.

    Tks!

  6. I have a great idea to make your blog better! I was reading your blog and you have lots of flashbacks as to when you were a kid. Maybe if you put Flashbacks From My past or something like that?

  7. Omar – Thanks for the suggestions. I hope to have more memory posts in the future. I also want to update this page to give you all a better idea of who I am but that will take some time and I don’t have any extra right now, LOL!

Please continue to visit the site and thanks for participating.

  8. I don’t know if you have it but I’ve got an original European Roadrunner cd release of “Dr. Mastermind – s/t” (RR 9605-2) that I’d be willing to sell if you’re interested. Let me know. I know this cd is a difficult cd to locate these days because I too used to be big into collecting …before I lost my entire cd collection to a house fire. :o( :o)

    Regards…

  9. Hey Steve…great site, have bookmarked you and look forward to visiting often. I am an old school metal head (44 yrs old) my first concert was
KISS opener was Uriah Heap (75-76) The stage was made for the DESTROYER album. It looked like a castle and fog machines ran almost every other song. My best friends Dad took us and he had an expensive camera with a telaphoto lens. He took pictures down front and made copies for both of us. 90% of the pictures were just blurs cause he had just bought the lens but the two best shots were close ups of Gene spitting blood and he caught him blowing fire dead on. His face is orange from the fireball being so close and the flame is backed by the KISS sign lit up.Its amazing, since he was a grown man with this expensive camera ushers let him roam anywhere he felt like not like today where you show your ticket every 15 ft. Maybe a side bar of peoples favorite concert and why would be cool. This site is “Worth the Deuce”

    • Sorry, I am one who thinks marriage comes first, then kids. Using the same-sex marriage issue seems a pretty poor excuse; it woldun’t prevent any guests from enjoying THEIR day and if they really wanted to they could have had a destination wedding to a state that does permit gay marriage.

  10. came over to your site from The Hard Rock Hideout! Great job! I love the new Endeverafter. It’s all I’ve been listening to for about 2 days now.

I’m a metalhead from the 80’s too. Just got Guitar Hero 3 and have been in heaven playing Metallica’s One and Iron Maiden’s Number of the Beast!!

    Keep rockin!

  11. Hey Steve,
I’m a local near you and have the same musical interests. Big KISS fan – 37 and still into the music scene. I just picked up Kissology V3 and it’s awesome!!! One of the greatest DVD releases in the music biz! I also picked up Ratt – The Atlantic Years and Queensryche’s Take Cover cd.
I keep reading on thei Endever band so I’m looking into them…KEEP ROCKING and great site!!! Where do you score your music from???

  12. Hey Steve,
Just googling around & saw that you included my band Icarus Witch in your top releases for 2007! What a cool honor & judging from your top 10 favorite bands on this page, I can tell you really get where we’re coming from. I’m often asked in interviews what my favorite album of all time is & when I say Alcatrazz – No Parole From Rock ‘N’ Roll…well, you can sense a palpable air of surprise on the other line! haha. I’ll post your list on our myspace.com/icaruswitch page. Cheers!

  17. Love Scorpions, Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Judas Priest, AC/DC.

Just done a search for the most popular rock music blogs and you were number 1.

Liked the write up on Uncle Sam, I was about 17 or 18 when that came out and was too embarrased to buy it plus I’d not heard of the band before then either.

    Keep up the good work.

  18. Hiya – some very worthy additions to your collection would be a couple of albums by the Aussie 70’s band Buffalo. They released 5 albums from ’72-’77, the best two being “Volcanic Rock” & “Only Want You For Your Body”. Checkit. Cheers.

    • Hey hows it going, I came across your site searching for metal blogs. I just started one myself http://metalmick.blogspot.com/. I was pleased to see that you are from Rhode Island, I am from Warwick, and we have the same music tastes. I was also at the Schenker show at Showcase live in Foxboro. I read your review and I agree totally. It was a dream come true for me to see Schenker, and hope I can see him again. Anyways great site Keep up the good work.
